What makes this projector so popular?
The beauty of the 9400 projectors pretty much centres around Epson’s 4K Enhancement technology. When choosing a projector with a great picture quality people instantly look for something which can run 4k content. The problem here is that native 4k projectors start at around 5000. This is where the 9400 steps in delivering the Epson 4K UHD experience with advanced pixel-shifting, resolution-enhancement technology.
So what is pixel shifting?
When a 4K video input signal is detected the eshift system splits it into two 1080p images. Each pixel is then rapidly shifted diagonally back and forth by a half-a-pixel. As the shifting of the pixels is so fast, it produces a result approximating that of a 4K resolution image.
The projector's picture quality is however not just down to the resolution but rather a combination of all of the factors impacting image performance. The 9400 offers High Colour Light Output, an ultra-wide colour range and a high contrast ratio delivering those all-important deep blacks.

Lens and Set-Up
Another bonus is the adaptable lens. Not only is it motorised for zoom and focus, but it can shift the image vertically and horizontally. Even if you can’t house the projector exactly where you want it, the 9400 is adaptable enough to compensate. If you need help with working out where to best place your projector then our team will be more than happy to help.
It has a 2.1x optical zoom lens meaning it can produce an image ranging from between 50in and 300in size, and while the minimum throw is around 1.5m, a 100in the image would mean set-up anywhere between 3m-6.3m – again, great for fitting into most homes. It's super easy to set up this projector. Pop up the test pattern and, within a few button presses, the image is sharp and ready to go.
