Without compromising on their iconic modish and sleek designs, the Silver range has had a refreshing revamp inside and out.
What’s changed with the New 7G Series?
With changes to essential specs, it is clear that clarity and detailed sound are foremost to the 7G Series.
- New C-CAM gold dome tweeter features a new uniform dispersion waveguide II for lifelike treble reproduction.
- The new drivers feature a more rigid structure due to a hexagonal dimpled structure, which encourages low distortion or smoother sound.
- With updated driver trims, the appearance of the driver surround is minimized for a sleeker designer. With new magnetic grilles with a premium-grade weave for greater depth and textures to visuals.
- Attention to detail is always important. The new range also discreetly accommodates Monitor Audio's new logo.
- Five New finishes: Black Oak, Satin White, Ash, High Gloss Black and Natural Walnut (three wood finishes are real wood veneers).
Which Speakers are part of the upgraded 7G Range?
This Bookshelf Speaker offers the performance expected of a large, floorstanding loudspeaker in a much smaller package. The Silver 50 is equipped with a single 25mm tweeter for lifelike sound and a single 134mm mid-bass driver with Rigid Surface Technology (RST) for additional clarity. Accomplishing that a deep bass and stunning sound no longer needs to be compromised for an idyllic and compact appearance.
The second bookshelf speaker in the range features a 203mm mid-bass driver, 69mm larger than the Silver 50 and the same 25mm tweeter as the floorstanders. The Silver 100 was designed to give you richer sound and a deeper bass than your regular floorstander.
Progressing to a floorstander, the Silver 200 features a new 2.5-way design with the top driver performing as mid-bass and the bottom as bass only. The Silver 200 7G, rightfully so, uses the same C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II for sound as close to reality as possible and not one, but two mid bass drivers with RST II are included for extra clarity.
The Silver C250 produces that cinematic sound you desire. This iconic centrepiece of course, features a 25mm Gold Dome tweeter consistent in the Silver 7G range along with a 76mm mid-range driver and a duo of 134mm bass drivers for high clarity sound. Suitable for all sizes of home cinema rooms and spaces, this centre speakers puts you right in the middle of the action.
Featuring real-wood veneers for natural aesthetics, the Silver 300 floorstanding speaker produces sound to leave you speechless. With a sophisticated 3-way design with a single 76mm mid-range driver and two 152mm bass drivers, sound with the ultimate refinement is created. Needless to say, to produce the most natural sound possible with reduced distortion, a 25mm tweeter is incorporated in the floorstander.
A step up from the Silver 300, this beautifully crafted floorstanding speaker also utilises a 3-way design with a single 76mm mid-range driver and a larger duo of 203mm bass drivers. A 25mm tweeter is also included. As the top-of-the-range floorstander of the series, the Silver 500 produces nothing less than seamless sound for all your favourite genres. The 500 is what every true audio lover needs.
Monitor Audio's Silver FX are the perfect addition to your home-cinema or devoted audio set-up. Creating a 360-degree performance, the FX act as surround sound speakers to add depth to your sound. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, they use a single 25 mm tweeter and a 152 mm single mid-bass driver to produce beautiful sound.
