About the JBL Synthesis SCL-3
The Synthesis SCL-3 is a two-way SCL in-wall loudspeakers are the first flush-mount compression driver loudspeakers using JBL Professional technology. The dual 5-¼” cast frame aluminum woofers are ideal for in-wall or ceiling mounting. Utilizing the D2-derived 1-inch / 25mm annular ring compression driver with Teonex® diaphragm and an advanced HDI geometry horn, the SCL-3 provides unparalleled performance compared to any in-wall loudspeaker in the market today. The integrated MDF enclosure is designed for installation in standard 2x6 wood frame construction, and Internal connections allow for bi-wiring or bi-amplification in advanced installations. The SCL-3 is ideal for use in medium to large rooms.
Delivering high dynamics
The SCL-3 offers the highest level of acoustic performance available from a flush-mount loudspeaker. Utilizing JBL Professional’s patented D2 compression driver technology, the SCL-3 is capable of delivering very high dynamics with remarkably low-distortion for clarity and intelligibility at virtually any volume level.
Perfect solution for home theater system
The 2409H compression driver used in the SCL-3 is mated to JBL’s patented HighDefinition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide for remarkably uniform and predictable coverage over a wide area – eliminating the need for the speakers to be angled or aimed when installed. Low frequencies are delivered by two powerful cast-frame, Advanced Aluminum Matrix cone woofers operating in conjunction with the included MDF enclosure for consistent performance and minimal sonic intrusion into adjacent spaces. Premium network components, Bi-Wire and Bi-Amp capability, flexible mounting applications, and a ZeroBezel, magnetically attached grille leave no details unattended. The SCL-3 is the perfect solution for in-wall LCR, surround, or overhead height channel applications as part of JBL Synthesis home theater system.
